From starting as a support software engineer to leading AI and machine learning initiatives, her career journey has been filled with personal growth and business impact. Learn more about her role, proudest accomplishments, and what she would tell her younger self.
1. How has your career grown since starting at Dispatch?
Over the past 4 1/2 years at Dispatch, my career has evolved significantly, with some unexpected but rewarding turns along the way. I began as a support software engineer, transitioned into a junior data science role, and now serve as the Business Intelligence Manager. Each role has pushed me to develop new technical skills, broaden my understanding of data’s role in driving business success, and grow as a leader. Today, I work closely with the Director of Data to oversee our data department, focusing on driving innovation and empowering teams to make smarter, data-driven decisions.
2. What does a typical day in your role look like?
Every day is different, but it’s always a mix of meetings, planning, and collaborating with the data, product, and engineering teams. I ensure our data systems are running smoothly, help teams across the company leverage insights for better decisions, and work on aligning our long-term goals with the evolving data landscape. A big focus right now is preparing our systems for AI implementation and exploring how technologies like generative AI can benefit our business.
3. What is a project you have been recently involved in?
One of the most exciting projects I’ve been working on is making our data platform stronger and more adaptable for the future. While big initiatives like incorporating generative AI are on our roadmap, our team has already built and tested some machine learning projects that have made an impact. But it’s not just about AI. We are always looking for ways to improve how we use data, whether it’s making processes more efficient, helping teams make smarter decisions, or setting up systems that can scale as we grow. It has been incredibly rewarding to work on projects that make a real difference now while also laying the groundwork for what’s next.
4. So far, what accomplishments are you most proud of here at Dispatch?
I’m incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made in data. It’s a fast-changing field, and keeping our systems and strategies ahead of the curve has been a huge team effort. I'm especially proud of the work we’re doing now to position ourselves for AI innovation; it’s laying the foundation for impactful changes in how we operate.
5. Which Dispatch core value(s) resonates with you the most and why?
Commitment and Driven to Deliver really stand out to me. At Dispatch, every role has a purpose, and there’s a strong culture of ownership and accountability. That sense of ownership resonates with me because it means we all have a say in shaping what’s next. It’s motivating to work in a space where everyone’s contributions are valued.
6. What is your favorite thing about working at Dispatch?
What I love most about working here is that no two days are the same. There’s always a new challenge or opportunity to learn something, which keeps me engaged and constantly growing. For someone who loves learning and problem-solving, it’s the perfect place to be.
7. Anything else you would like to share?
If I could tell my younger self where I am today, she’d be thrilled. Playing a role in shaping the future of data and AI while prioritizing ethical and impactful decision-making is incredibly fulfilling. This journey has given me the space to grow, learn, and contribute in meaningful ways.
